Arthror (アースラー) is the keeper of the First Demon Gate in Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins.

Appearing as a massive reptilian and insect-like demon, Arthror stands atop four extremely tall legs that make it tower over Arthur. It possesses curved horns, a scaly green face like a lizard, and red plates that cover its squat body and arching legs. Its legs are incredibly long and each end in a single silver curved talon, along with each leg bearing a bird-like skull with red eyes and a single horn on the base of the joint. Its boss room initially appears to be empty, but as Arthur approaches the door to the exit, Arthror reveals itself by dropping its head into view (its legs seemingly appearing to be harmless stone structures in the scenery), and the battle begins.

Arthror will primarily attack with its clawed legs, lifting them up to crush Arther below them. When doing this, its legs will be coated in a blue flame as it prepares to impale them into the ground. Only three of its legs will be used for attacking in the foreground, however, with its bottom right leg kept solely in the background for the fight. Arthur can safely run past Arthror's legs while they are on the ground and use the three stones in the arena as platforms to attack its head, the only vulnerable part of the boss. He must be mindful of the two pits in the room and not get cornered. Arthror can also attack by spitting up mouthfuls of blue sludge below its head whenever its jaws begin to froth. As the battle progresses, Arthror will begin to attack with two legs at a time instead of one.

Later in the Black Palace, Arthur must face either Death Curse or Arthror again, depending of the path he takes.
