The Mask of Sorrow is one of several abilities found in Maximo: Ghosts to Glory and added into the player's inventory, being lost upon the player's death unless moved into a permanent lockspot.
The Mask of Sorrow is an ability where upon pickup, it grants Maximo invincibility similar to that of the Golden Armor. However, it also includes a bonus effect: Inflicting damage upon contact. If Increased Armor is equipped, the maximum armor requirement to activate Mask of Sorrow is raised to 5.
Unfortunately, it shares the same 20 second limit and has no effects on bosses. So players are advised to use it wisely.
